Vic Crombie

Vic has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 20 years. Vic has always been passionate about the health and well-being of young people, as such in 1999 she left her role as a biologist, completed an MSc in Health Promotion and Health Education and worked for the Youth & Community Service developing and delivering a variety of Health Programs .

Having trained as a Yoga Teacher (350hrs) in 2012 she immediately went on to train as a specialist Kids Yoga Teacher, seeing the scope of yoga and mindfulness in promoting the health and wellbeing of children and young people.

Since then Vic has been inspired by the benefits Mindfulness has had on her own life and has gone on to train with industry leaders such as Dr Craig Hassed, Mindfulness in Schools (USA) & The Mindfulness in Schools Project (UK).

Seeing how young people engage with and benefit from these programs inspires Vic to continue to seek out training and professional development with leaders in the field of Yoga and Mindfulness ensuring that she is offering young people, families and schools top quality, evaluated programs of the highest standard.

Julia Hall

In 1998 Julia spent time studying yoga in Southern India. This was the beginning of a life enriching love of yoga and meditation that has been central to her personal wellbeing ever since.

With a background in public art she furthered her studies in creative art therapy. Prior to bringing up her own children Julia worked with children in therapeutic care and adults with disabilities.

Julia’s passion for yoga went a step further when she graduated as a yoga teacher in 2012.  Continuing her studies she subsequently specialized in teaching yoga to children. Since 2014 she has taught yoga to hundreds of children in various schools across Melbourne.

Through yoga Julia discovered mindfulness and immediately resonated with its accessible, kind and down to earth practices. She was excited by the rigorous scientific research into the affects of mindfulness on the brain and immediately saw the benefit for including such training in schools to support children and teens to navigate their way through a complex contemporary world.

Julia has subsequently completed several personal and professional mindfulness programs. She will be travelling to the UK to train with the highly regarded ‘Mindfulness in schools project’ in July 2018.

Julia is dedicated to sharing her expertise in this exciting and rapidly expanding field with as many young people as possible. Her additional studies in the field of positive psychology underpin her passion for this important work, which she believes can support young people to flourish and reach their full potential in addition to being the antidote to some of the mental health and wellbeing challenges that young people face today.

I would like to say thanks for spending your days to be with us. I wanted to say that you are really good teachers who made the lessons fun and enjoyable
